Ostgut Ton will host
its first label showcase in the German city of Essen on
Halloween.

Ostgut Ton Nacht Essen will go down on October 31st at
Mischanlage, a space
within former coal mine complex and UNESCO World Heritage
site Kokerei ZollVerein. A collaboration with Studio Essen, it’ll be the only
dance music-related event at the venue until 2019, taking
place in a room “characterized by steel, concrete coal
hoppers and pillars—a perfect equivalent to our Berlin home,
Berghain / Panorama Bar,” says the label. The lineup is still
TBA.

2017 has been a busy year for the label—in addition to new
albums from Nick Höppner and Tobias., there have been EPs by
Vatican Shadow, Kobosil and Dettmann | Klock. Steffi’s
third full-length for the
outlet is also on the way.

Anja Schneider is leaving
Mobilee Records, the
label she cofounded in 2005.

“As of today, I’m no longer involved in Mobilee Records,” the
Berlin-based artist
posted
on Facebook. “After founding the label 12 years
ago, it’s time to explore new creative projects. Mobilee will
continue business as usual run by label partner Ralf
Kollmann. I wish him and the team all the best.” She then
went on to announce SoUS Music, a new label
launching in the coming months that she says will be “the
most personal project of my career.”

Started in 2005, Mobilee Records has long been one of
Berlin’s best-known outlets for house and techno, releasing
key records by the likes of Schneider, Sebo K and Pan-Pot.

Listen to Schneider’s RA Exchange interview from 2015.
