3LAU Has Compiled His Own Guide To Buying Cryptocurrencies

Unless you’ve been sleeping under a rock for the past year,
you’re probably well aware of cryptocurrencies and the
incredible gains they’ve had. While there’s quite a bit of
naysayers to the whole idea, the DJ and producer 3LAU has taken it upon himself to
share some of his knowledge with the public.

In the beginner’s guide to cryptocurrencies, 3LAU talks about
Litecoin (LTC), Ether (ETH), and Bitcoin (BTC). While he
doesn’t get much into altcoins such as IOTA and Ripple (XRP),
3LAU shares details as to why people should still invest in
Bitcoin even though it’s outrageous price, the realities of
using Coinbase, and other frequently asked questions about
cryptocurrencies.

Steve Aoki Remixes Garmiani’s ‘Shine Good’ With Tremendous Success

Steve Aoki is a
true man of mystery. Every time I fire up good old Spotify to
take a listen to one of his originals or remixes I truly have
no idea what to expect. I could get straight electro, I could
get straight rap. It is a mixed bag. So when I first heard that
he remixed Garmiani’s ‘Shine Good’ I was curious to see the
outcome. Honestly though I was not expecting a bass house tune
that I would fall madly in love with.

The tune starts off more or less the same as the original but
man, when this one finally drops it drops hard. The smacking
bass house drop is just the right amount of powerful. It is
something that could find it’s home on Night Bass. This is
entirely unexpected from Steve Aoki who has not strayed into
the hard house genres recently. While it was unexpected it was
entirely welcome. This is some of Steve’s best work yet in
2017.

Kaskade Beautifully Reworks Kygo’s ‘Stargazing’

I freaking love Kaskade. I love Kaskade like almost more than
anyone when it comes to producers. So when I saw that he was
reworking one of my favorite Kygo tracks I obviously got super
excited. I was curious whether Kaskade would take a deep
approach or maybe just go straight high energy electro. Well
the way he remixed ‘Stargazing’ was entirely not what I had in
mind, but the end result is just gorgeous.

Powerful, shimmering synths ring out as Justin Jesso’s dreamy
vocals merge with perfectly with the remix. Kaskade’s approach
keeps the integrity of the original, it perfectly matches the
initial vision Kygo had in terms of emotion and energy. Kaskade
managed to elevate ‘Stargazing’ with his signature style while
simultaneously honoring the original mix. Check it out below.

Latin Music Continues To Soar In Popularity In The United States

Following the success of the record-breaking “Despacito” which

“Despacito” and gained a new wave of popularity when Justin
Bieber remixed the song in April. In addition to
Despacito’s worldwide success, J Balvin and Willy
William’s “Mi Gente” garnered 1 billion views in just 102 days.

Gramatik Goes Public With His New Cryptocurrency ‘GRMTK’

While most people are probably familiar with cryptocurrencies
such as Bitcoin, Ethereum, Monero, and Ripple, Gramatik has
announced his very own cryptocurrency, GRMTK.

As Bitcoin breaks its highest value ever, Gramatik has made a
historic move in becoming the first artist to have his
intellectual property tokenized. Gramatik did a token launch
(ICO) for the new GRMTK coin on November 8th after raising
$2.48 million or 7,500 ETH (Ethereum). The coin sold out within
24 hours and put to total valuation of GRMTK entertainment
economy at $9 million.

“Embedded in the GRMTK token is not only the rights and
royalties of my creations, but the ideals and philosophy of
freedom and liberty for all artists, for all people,” said
Gramatik. “This is a movement of not only art, but of the mind
and of the spirit. GRMTK isn’t just a cryptocurrency, it’s much
more than that, now my audience can share in my inspiration
and…anything I create and distribute on my upcoming channel.”

Weekend Vibes: COFRESI – NEW THING FEAT. EHIOROBO

If you are sitting around on this beautiful Saturday wondering
what to listen to, go no further then Cofresi’s “New Thing.”
The style and vibe is nothing short of an electronic oasis of
synths with a grade A HipHop Vocal. Cofresi shared some
thoughts on the record. Needless to say, if this is your cup of
tea musically, then take the time and turn this on.

“‘New Thing’ feat. Ehiorobo is my first ever collaboration
with a vocalist for an original song. I met Ehi through a
fellow producer named Flamingosis and we immediately clicked
creatively. After making an instrumental that seemed to fit
Ehi’s style, I sent it to him and a week later he sent me back
his vocals. I mixed them in while I was at Summer Camp Music
Festival and fully mixed them down when I got back from that
wild weekend. Once vocals were set in place, it gave me such a
rewarding feeling to listen and experience a genuine human
element over my music. It was a whole new territory and it
immediately taught me about giving vocals space and how to make
an actual song instead of just elaborate instrumentals with
vocal chops… which most of my previous music has been.”

What Martin Garrix IDs Will Still Be Released And Which Are Officially Dead?

Martin Garrix
consistently releases so much music that it is hard to keep
track of which of the tracks from his sets have made their way
to official releases. Martin is also such a household name now
that he has been granted countless opportunities to collaborate
with some of the biggest names in music. This is a double edged
sword as when massive artists get involved so do massive
labels. This unfortunately creates disputes and many times
stellar songs are never able to be officially released. That
being said Martin has a handful of IDs that are still waiting
to see the light of day, so which ones are still alive and
which ones have been officially laid to rest?

Good News and Bad News

The question of which songs will actually be released was posed
by /u/jjdionisio on
/r/EDM . The response
was of course answered by The Martin Garrix Hub, a dedicated
fan who has more knowledge of the artist than probably even
Martin himself. We have said time and time again that The
Martin Garrix Hub is the #1 source for Martin Garrix news.
Lucky for us, they were able to give us information on which
songs are alive, and which ones will never see the light of day
as an official release.

IDs Which Are Still Alive

The songs which are still alive and planned to be released are
as follows: ‘Chinatown’, ‘WTF’, ‘Waiting For Tomorrow’, and a
collaboration with Ryan Tedder. ‘So Far Away’ with Ellie
Goulding and David Guetta was
supposed to be released in October but due to label disputes
the track has been frozen indefinitely. Most of the mentioned
unreleased tracks have no details on release but ‘WTF’ is
suspected to drop the earliest while the Ryan Tedder
collaboration will likely not appear any time soon.

IDs Which Have Officially Been Killed

What about the tracks which are dead and gone? Unfortunately
‘Music Box’ with Hardwell, ‘Rewind Repeat It’ with Ed Sheeran,
and Martin’s collab with Headhunterz have all bit the dust.
‘Rewind Repeat It’ is Martin’s near infamous collaboration with
Ed Sheeran which fans have been begging for; while some hope
was restored with the track could be found on ASCAP, no
progress has since been made and there are no plans to move
forward with a release. Another redditor noted that ‘Oussama’
with Julian Jordan is also a dead ID. Check out all the tracks
mentioned above that we could find, down below. Let us keep out
fingers crossed for the successful release of as many as
possible.

Porter Robinson Announces First Virtual Self EP Dropping At Month’s End

Porter Robinson has transformed just about everything about
himself in 2017, even his name. Now performing under the
moniker, Virtual Self, Porter has dropped two new tracks that
are unlike anything we have heard before. If this is your first
time reading or hearing about Virtual Self
check out our handy guide right here.

The two songs released so far are ‘Eon
Break’ a high energy bordlerine happy hardcore production that
is reminiscent of Japanese electronic pop which inspired the
Dance Dance Revolution series, and ‘Ghost Voices’. The second
track carries the emotion of trance beautifully throughout
while also injecting some signature Porter elements to make it
a work entirely his own.

Now Virtual Self has announced that a full EP will be released on November 29th.
So get ready for more new music, as it is just over the horizon
right now. What’s more is that a Redditor who was based out
Russia noticed that the post also included the detail of a new
label. Could Porter have even bigger plans for the Virtual Self
project? It certainly appears so…

This Facebook Group Is Selling Stickers So You Can Catch and Release Wooks For Science

The wook epidemic that is starting to hit the nation hard has
not gone unnoticed. When the elusive creates started to venture
outside of California and Colorado many people had no idea to
react. It was a shock to the system. Dreadlocks all over the
place, things constantly being borrowed and never returned, and
of course a national shortage of Ketamine was soon to follow.
One group of individuals wants to help the world realize that
the common wook is in fact more afraid of you than you are of
them – and in most cases you can easily coexist in harmony with
these beautiful creatures. That is why we want to feature
Colorado Big Game
Trophy Wook Hunters
, who are truly doing the lord’s work.

Bag N Tag ‘Em For Future Research

The Facebook groups started off as a place for people to share
over the the top wookery that they encountered in their day to
day lives. Whether that be at a music festival or in public.
The results were absolutely incredible. Videos like that one
below were featured and helped the page grow from a small
community full of festival goers sharing their experiences into
a national sensation.

Obviously the tongue in cheek nature of the group grew into
something even more phenomenal. CBGTWH started to sell official
stickers to bag and tag wooks, taking their collection of
observational research to the next level. It was time to tag
the magical creatures so more data could be collected on their
eating, mating, and social habits. This is where the infamous
sticker comes in. Fans have made catch and release wook hunting
into an international sport, trying to tag the most elusive
wooks without their knowledge using the sticker below.

The group sells the sticker and other official wook hunting
supplies on their website.
So what are you waiting for? Go check out the Facebook page and
get busy hunting!

Note: Yes we know it is all a joke made in

Forbes Officially Exposes Marshmello As Chris Comstock ‘Dotcom’

Around two years ago, a music producer launched into the dance
music culture as an anonymous DJ called Marshmello. While
there have been quite a few slip ups from the DJ
and producer, Marshmello’s identity has never been fully
revealed.

For Forbes’ 30 Under 30 list, they revealed that Marshmello,
“born Chris Comstock” aka Dotcom “is one of the world’s
highest-paid DJs thanks to more than 170 live shows in 12
months and a bigger take-home on music and merch than other DJs.”

At the age of just 25-years-old, the “independent, anonymous
DJ-producer may perform behind a white marshmallow mask, but he
has still notched some 2 billion streams.”

Marshmello and Migos New Collaboration To Be Featured On New Soundtrack

The world turned on it’s head when news of a forthcoming
Marshmello and
Migos announcement was announced. Now we have found details
about how you can listen to it first. The collaboration is
actually not going to be released as a stand alone single, but
actually as part of a soundtrack. I am sure your next question
is…soundtrack to what? Well would you believe me if I said the
new Will Smith starring Netflix original? Well you should,
cause that is in fact the answer.

‘Bright’ is Netflix’s latest original feature which will star
The Fresh Prince as he teams up with magical creatures that get
involved with the L.A. PD somehow. Just ignore the plot and
focus on the music people.

The director David Ayer is no stranger to the power of music
when featured correctly. He saw how a soundtrack can elevate a
movie with the commercial success of Suicide Squad despite
getting panned critically. The soundtrack for Bright will drop
on Wednesday, December 13.
You can Pre-Order the album here
so you can hear the track
first when it drops in exactly once month from today. But of
course you wanna hear a little bit of it now right? Well check

Marshmello Releases Animated Music Video For ‘You & Me’

Earlier this year, the anonymous producer Marshmello decided to venture
into pop-punk with his single “You & Me.” Despite catching
many of his fans off guard, the track was well-received and
Marshmello was able to show off his music production skills
with a wide variety of different singles.

Just weeks after its release, Marshmello has decided to give
the 90s style song its own official music video. While pulling
in Toon53 to do the music
video
, Marshmello went in a different route for this video
by going all animated. Watch the video above.

Deadmau5 Will Co-Produce Unknown Vocalist’s Entire Album After 10-Month-Old Pledge

Deadmau5 is an
artist that does the unthinkable from time to time. Who can
forget the time that Deadmau5 found the vocals to his song “The
Veldt” during his livestream?

Ten months ago, Deadmau5 posted to the Deadmau5 Reddit board
that he found an unknown vocalist with true natural talent.
Deadmau5 pledged that if the guy got 1 million plays on his
song, that he would fly Bo Mason out to mau5trap and help him
co-produce an album.

1 million plays
from deadmau5

Just ten months later and Bo Mason officially hit one million
total plays. As soon as he reached the milestone, Mason tweeted
that everyone should tweet to Deadmau5 to let him know that
he’s ready to do this album.

Interestingly enough, Bo Mason said that he would sign with Roc
Nation or RCA Records and not mau5trap.

Congrats Bo Mason!

Excision Announces The Release Date Of His Annual Mix

There are a few artists who are synonymous with their
incredible annual mixes. Obviously RL Grime’s Halloween mix
tape is popular but only one remains still more iconic. Of
course I am talking about Excision’s Shambhala mix tape. The
mix always goes so hard that subs around the world shudder in
fear. Excision finally has announced the release date and
details on his annual mix.

The mix will drop on November 21st. Many fans noted that it is
coming much later in the year than past installments, which was
of course due to his first ever festival, Lost Lands. Excision
also announced that moving foward he will be combining his
Shambhala and Lost Lands mixes into one annual super mix. We
cannot wait to hear this one, as it will no doubt exceed any
and all expectations we have.

Above & Beyond Will Reportedly Release A Documentary In Early 2018

Above & Beyond is easily the most celebrated trio in the
history and dance music. The UK based three headed monster of
Anjunabeats has an unbelievable cult following because of their
emotionally relatable tracks and cathartic live performances.
Fans all over the world will be thrilled to known that A&B
plan to release a documentary
focusing on their acoustic performances in early 2018.

It seems natural that A&B would release a documentary as
the guys are no strangers to performing in front of a camera.
Their first acoustic tour demonstrated the depth and power of
music was was produced in an electronic view point and was
filmed in full. The documentary will be called ‘Above &

Ed Sheeran Actually Co-Wrote DJ Snake’s Latest Massive Hit

DJ Snake ran a
massive branding campaign around his latest single ‘A Different
Way’. This including a social
media
campaign that lead up to a monumental live stream
which featured DJ Snake performing on top of the Arc de
Triomphe in his home of Paris, France. The song was a clear hit
the second it graced the ears of fans all over the world. The
powerful visuals of Snake playing on top of a world recognized
landmark only further helped the single stand out.

On social media recently a photo of DJ Snake and ED Sheeran has
been making the rounds. Two legendary artists together
obviously had hundreds of fans calling for a collaboration.
Demanding that the legendary vocalist and the legendary DJ team
up was almost an obvious response to the photo. What many
people might be surprised to find out though, is that the pair
have already collaborated in a way. Ed Sheeran is actually
billed on the ASCAP Repertory of ‘A Different Way’. That’s
right, Ed Sheeran actually co-wrote the massive hit. This
honestly makes us think what it would have been like is Sheeran
actually performed the vocals on the track as well.

Eric Prydz Announces Release Date Of Full EP Under Mysterious Alias

Eric Prydz has been killing the game for several decades now.
Not many artists can stay things like that. Ever since his
massive hit ‘Call On Me’ Prydz has been bringing the music he
loves to the masses on a phenomenally consistent basis. Prydz
clearly suffers from an identity crisis of sorts though, and we
could not be happier. The famed Swedish legend produces of
course under his given name, but also as Pryda, Cirez D, and
the mysterious Tonja Holma. The latter is the least used alias,
but that is about to change.

A Full Tonja EP On The Way

Prydz tweeted out today that next Monday, November 13, he will
dropping the first ever full EP as Tonja Holma. This comes
after he teased new music under the alias on his snap story
last week. Nobody expected the release to be multiple tracks
though. We cannot wait to hear what the rarely used, mostly
forgotten alias has to offer this Monday.

Diplo Is In Hot Water Again With The Taylor Swift Army

Diplo is in hot
water with the fandom community again.

Leaked images and excerpts from the upcoming Rolling Stone
November issue show the DJ talking about everything from
rumored collaborations to Drake’s creatives methods to the
future of music streaming. This lead to the leaked excerpt
below from the Mad Decent head honcho:

“Music is in the hands of the kids. Streaming is literally what
kids want to listen to over and over again. They want to listen
to ‘Rockstar’ and ‘Bodak Yellow.’ They don’t
want to listen to, like, ‘Look What You Made Me
Do,’” he said when asked about the effects of music
streaming. “That music doesn’t relate to them at all. I don’t
think it ever did. They were only given that by radio and
marketing budgets. I’m impressed with Post Malone. I can relate
to him more than Taylor Swift.

(Image Via Perez Hilton)

Diplo is the voice of a generation but Taylor Swift leads an
army. While he is right about the future of streaming you never
want to pick a fight with one of the biggest names in the
industry. Back in 2014, Diplo tweeted: “someone should make
a kickstarter to get Taylor Swift a booty.” Which is
a post that sparked an army of backlash from fans which he
later regretted. Fast forward to 2015 and Diplo said in a GQ
interview, “All I know is, don’t ever get into a feud with
Taylor Swift.”

It is evident that he did not learn his lesson from that one…

As always make sure to keep up to date with all of the latest

Super Rich Guy Spray Paints His Mansion With deadmau5 and Marshmello Murals

What would you do if you had millions of dollars to blow? Some
of us would chose cars, fine jewelry or lavish vacations.

Well, this guy chose to spend his cash on turning his Las Vegas
mansion into the biggest spray paint mural possible. His name
is Arman Alexander Izadi or “Armani” and outlandish
extravagance his game.

Izadi wanted take his home (called Villa Shangri-la) to the
next level and make Vegas as possible. To do that, he brought
on 6 artists, a videography crew and a ton of spray paint. His
challenge was to cover the outside of his huge
multi-million-dollar mansion in spray painted murals….in only
seven days.

For a week the team worked day and night to turn this once
white home into one of Las Vegas’ largest art exhibits—and the
results are pretty damn incredible. Giant murals envelope the
walls from Elvis Presley to playing cards this place is very
Vegas.

But what what caught our eye were odes to two of the biggest
names in EDM.

The entryway of the home is decorated with Marshmello‘s smiling face,
right next to the front door. Perhaps Izadi wants to make his
guests feel welcomed.

And covering an entire wall on the back of the house is a giant
deadmau5 head.
Conveniently located directly below the “Villa Shangri-la” sign
so it is clearly seen from the backyard and pool.

RL Grime Drops His Most Explosive ID From Forthcoming Album Yet

RL Grime has been on the tip of everybody’s tongue this past
week. The trap legend dropped his annual Halloween mixtape and
to say that it was well received in a massive understatement.
Now though things continue to heat up for the artist as his new
album, ‘NOVA’ is due to drop in the coming months. While no
actual date has been released yet, RL has ramped up the teasing
of never before heard tracks in great quantities, therefore we
are expecting some big news soon.

Take for example his set from Houston’s Halloween themed
festival ‘Something Wicked’ two weekends ago. RL Grime dropped
one of the most powerful and show stopping unreleased tracks
yet. The crowd reaction says it all. They were entirely blown
away, just like we are. Check out the snippet from his set
below, including the monster ID from the forthcoming, ‘NOVA’.

Rezz Has To Remind Bassnectar Fans Other Artists Are Allowed To Play His Tracks

Bassnectar and
more specifically his loyal fandom have had a rough week so far
in terms of involvement on social
media
. I will be the first to admit 90% of Bassheads are
not the people who are getting called out. It is the militant
minority that has continually created issues. I also get insane
fandom though. When Deadmau5 released ‘Random Album
Title’ I was pretty sure it was the more important release of
the century. In hindsight I did and said some cringe level 1000
stuff in defense of a guy who has now blocked me on Twitter and
definitely hates me entirely since I periodically write things
he deems cancerous.

I digress though. Rezz had her own run in with the Nectar
community this week. A lot of fans were up in arms and publicly
stated that Rezz should not be allowed to play Bassnectar’s
tracks. Which is a bit weird considering Bassnectar routinely
plays other artist’s tracks in his sets. It became such an
issue that Rezz literally had to take to Twitter to remind
people that the real beauty of electronic music is that it can
be so easily shared between many different artists. So take it
from someone that was a super fan at one point – it is best to
keep an open mind when it comes to dance music, because you
never know what you might miss when you are wearing mental
blinders.

We can always rely on Kayzo to keep things light…

Carnage Starts ‘F*ck Deadmau5’ Chant At Halloween Show

Just this past weekend, Carnage accused Deadmau5 of
shoving him
at the Cemetery of Sound festival.

According to Carnage,
deadmau5 walked up
to Carnage and pushed him for no apparent reason. Deadmau5 on
the other hand accused Carnage of threatening him.

While it seemed that the situation had settled down, Carnage
started a “f*ck deadmau5” and “f*ck Joel” chant while taking a
selfie video during his Halloween show.

Joel later did respond to Carnage with the simple question
“Who?”
